Scout Hero Synopsis and Plot Summary

The story unfolds in the early part of 1951, during the Fourth Battle to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.

Liang Chen, the reconnaissance section chief of a specific section from the Volunteer Army, led the group of the division’s reconnaissance to destroy the passageway at Wuyun Mountain, successfully delaying the U.S. attack, and ensuring all of the division’s evacuation.

When they returned they saved the cultural staff who had been detained by the enemy’s infiltration squad and destroyed the plot of the enemy to into the division’s headquarters.

Liang Chen and others went far behind the enemy’s lines to capture prisoners and re-connoiter the enemy’s position to provide crucial and precise intelligence that laid the base for victory in taking on Highland 314.

As part of a significant battle Liang Chen led the reconnaissance company in a joint effort with offensive forces from the forward, who slipped behind enemy lines, and then successfully took on the headquarters of the enemy, taking down the bridge that was the only way for the enemy to retreat.

With the help of the Korean People’s Army guerrillas, Liang Chen finally defeated the South Korean special operations captain Baek Chang-ho. battled wits and determination together.

He relied on his knowledge and experience to write a tale about the battlefield where the soldiers were defeated by “steel with less steel and more energy”.

A rousing epic that has more energy, but less. After the victory over this war Liang Chen also found affection for Wen Jie, a singer of the art troupe.
