Always Home Synopsis and Plot Summary

The sixteen year old Chen Huaner emigrated from her home town from Sishui to a family hospital compound in Tianhe at the end of summer 2007 , a city of Tianhe because of her mother’s transfer to work. In Tianhe, she met soccer-mad youngster Jing Qichi and the “academic bully” Song Cong.

Chen Huaner adapted to the new school environment with a positive and jovial attitude. She also had to endure several changes, for instance, Song Cong’s transfer to a different school because of his mother’s hemiplegia, and Jing Qichi’s decision to give up his football dreams because of an injuries.

When he was entering his 3rd year at high school Jing Qichi collapsed because his father had died in the in the line of duty. Chen Huaner aided him by sharing her own experiences of sickness as a child.

They were both admitted to the same school However, due to a variety of reasons, they were not allowed to live together. After graduating, Huaner chose to pursue the master’s program, while Jing Qichi went to Beijing to begin work.

The two eventually changed from being friends to becoming lovers at different locations. Then, Chen Huaner returned to school to further his studies as well as Jing Qichi also returned to Huaner’s hometown. After Chen Huaner graduated with a doctorate, Jing Qichi successfully proposed to her.
