Takita Yajiro was a Japanese filmmaker from Japan.

Takita was awarded the Oscar in the category of Best Foreign Language Film for his 2008 film Departures. It was the first time that a Japanese film was awarded the prize since the category was first made competitive in the year 1957.

Takita Yojiro began his career in the world of film by way of Mukai Productions, where he worked as the assistant director.

Takita first became famous through the long-running, well-known pink light-comic film Molester’s Train series, started by Yamamoto Shinya in the year 1975, and that Takita began directing in the year 1982 with Shintoho Eiga.

Takita filming similar Molester’s films in the context of the Studio’s Roman Porno line. Molester’s School Infirmary (1984) Molester’s Tour Bus (1985), and Molester’s Delivery Service (1986) are some of these titles.
