Sammo Hung Intro

Sammo Hung is a Hong Kong actor as well as a filmmaker, martial artist and director, well-known for his work in numerous films about martial arts as well as Hong Kong action cinema.

He has worked as choreographer of fights for, amongst others Jackie Chan, King Hu, and John Woo.
Hung is among the most important figures who led his role in the Hong Kong New Wave movement in the 1980s. He and helped in the rebirth of the martial arts scene and created an eerie Jiang Shi genre.

He is widely credited for helping many of his fellow citizens in getting them started within filmmaking in the Hong Kong film industry, through casting them in films he directed or by assigning them roles in the production team.
