Romance in the Alley Synopsis and Plot Summary

In the latter part of the 1970s, during the 1970s, Zhuang as well as the Lin families resided in an alley within the Suzhou Cotton Mill family housing estate.

When the college entrance exam was reinstated, Zhuang Chaoying, a teacher and partner Huang Ling made their children’s college entrance exam the main priority for their family.

The result of this was that their neighbours Lin Wufeng and Song Ying’s family members also started paying attention to the studies of their son. Zhuang Chaoying and Huang Ling’s family appeared to be harmonious and good.

Their child Zhuang Tunan was a quiet child, while their daughter Zhuang Xiaoting behaved well and was prudent, however Zhuang Chaoying’s insecurity and foolish filial piety harmed his family.

Lin Wufeng and Song Ying’s family next door appeared as though they were doing their individual thing. They had a son. Lin Dongzhe was extremely naughty However they were supportive of one another and their children and parents admired each the other.

The family was happy and lively. Lin Wufeng and Song Ying were observant of the changing times and relocated their family to Guangzhou to pursue new opportunities. After their childhood lovebirds Zhuang Xiaoting and Lin Dongzhe parted ways and they realized that they had feelings for one another and decided to attend the same university.

After they graduated in the same year, they had to overcome obstacles from their family and the world, but they remained committed to their partner. Zhuang Tunan and Li Jia finally tied the knot after years of turnings and twists.
