Zhao Ge Synopsis and Plot Summary
The Shang Dynasty, Emperor Di Yi moved his capital away from Chaoge with the intention that it would flourish like the song of dawn. After a while, the throne was handed to Emperor Xin. He was ambitious and fought in conflicts with all factions and made life a struggle for general populace.
Fortunately it was Ji Kao, the son of Ji Chang of Xiqi, and Wu Geng who was the child of Emperor Xin and Emperor Xin and both were youngsters who were heros. They wanted to help the people escape their dire situation through their small power.
Ji Kao was accused of being framed, and was sent to a prison camp Wu Geng, however, took a risk to save Ji Kao. While escaping Ji Kao came across Jiang Shang, Nezha, Yang Jian as well as other brilliant people. With the help of these people, he was able to escape and return to Xiqi.
In 1048 BC, Ji Kao changed his name to Ji Fa, and joined 800 princes in the fight against Emperor Xin, finally destroying the Shang Dynasty. In the final battle, Wu Geng believed that she was the mother of her child who died at Ji Fa’s hands. Ji Fa. Wu Geng was furious with Ji Fa.
After a fight, Wu Geng realised that it was not important who ruled the kingdom, the most important thing was to bring joy for the citizens. Wu Geng took his own life and Ji Fa was elevated to the throne and became the King of the Western Zhou Dynasty.
