The Rise of Wanshan Synopsis and Plot Summary

The end of the last century Wanshan Special Zone in Guizhou was in a dire situation because of the diminishing mercury resources. Feng Baiyang, the third generation of mercury miners was adamant about the responsibility and mission, and attempted to revive and transform the splendor of the mercury mines. However, he was not able to stand up against the pressure of reforms to state-owned enterprises and 20,000 workers were swept into despair.
