The Dream of the Red Chamber Synopsis and Plot Summary

Lin Ruhai, the salt administrator of Jiangnan left an orphan named Lin Daiyu who came to Rongguo Mansion to live with her grandmother. Lin Daiyu as well as Jia Baoyu were sweethearts in childhood. Xue and Pan murdered a person, and their families also went to the mansion in search of refuge.

Xue Baochai had a great personality and was beautiful, and was adored by all. To help aid the power of the Ningguo and Rongguo mansions the elders came together to break the bonds among Baoyu as well as Daiyu. This film beautifully recreates the poignant story of emotions and sadness of Baoyu, Daiyu and Chai.
