Sowers of Hope Synopsis and Plot Summary

The drama is a funding project that provides television drama direction and assistance provided by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television which is an important arts and literature creation initiative that is part of the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation.

A major project to support the creation of high-quality art and literary pieces within Guizhou Province, and a significant cultural boutique support initiative located in Shaanxi Province.

It is produced jointly by Baina Qiancheng Fude Culture along with Xi’an Film Studio, with Rao Jun as the screenwriter, Wang Junye as the director in chief, Tong Liya, Yang Jue, Zhang Junning as the principal actors and Liu Peiqi and Kang Aishi as special guests.

This film is founded on extensive campaign to promote rural revitalization as the narrative background and a small group of unidentified rural teachers as the neo-liberal objects. The story tells the way they have been embedded in positions of rural education for many decades, nourishing thousands of pupils with passion and determination, assisting students pursue their goals and alter their lives.

The Chief Director Wang Junye and main actors like Tong Liya and Yang Jue also ventured into the mountains of Guizhou to interact with students and teachers of local secondary and primary schools. They also witnessed the lives and activities of rural teachers to precisely and clearly shape the characters and create the appearance and the spirit.

It was due to the honest and creative spirit of the principal creators that the group of authentic and vibrant portraits of teachers was created. Like the group picture from students from “Peace Group” teachers on the steps of the school building, in this official announcement, this is positive and filled with hope.
