She and Her Girls Synopsis and Plot Summary
In a home visit, Zhang Guimei, a female teacher from Huaping County, Yunnan Province was confronted with various circumstances where girls were dropped out of school due to financial hardship and she became determined to set up a no-cost girl’s high school.
With the help and support from various organizations, Huaping Girls’ Senior High School was established in 2008 specifically designed for girls from low-income families to be able to go to school at no cost. Zhang Guimei was also determined to establish an order by the military to improve students’ academic performance.
When it came to managing the school, the teachers enrolling, financing, and many other areas faced a lot of challenges. By relying on her strong principles and convictions, she led staff and faculty members to conquer them one at a time, and delivered satisfactory answers with the college entrance exam scores which is attracting more and more students to take the test.
When the amount of young children grew the number of children grew, new issues and challenges became apparent and her health began to decline.
But she never lost sight of the primary purpose of an Communist Party member with her perseverance, determination and unselfish love. The passion for hard work and dedication to the front of education, writing the next chapter of mountains of education through sweat and blood.
