Beneath the Undertow Synopsis and Plot Summary

In the old state-owned plant The body of a woman suffering from broken foot is found in a defunct sewage pool. The person who died was Shen Xiaozhou, the son of an employee. Lian Haiping an older criminal police officer who appears depressed, but actually is warm and friendly and Shi Qiangfeng, a rookie police officer who is passionate and flamboyant, suddenly became friends.

Even though they hold grudges towards one another, they have to cooperate to identify the murderer. While the suspects are brought into the scene of investigation and they realize that in the background of college victims, which appear wearing white clothes they discover a myriad of unexpected issues of social nature. In the meantime the case of an older one which has firmly linked these two individuals slowly comes to light.
