As River Goes By Synopsis and Plot Summary

Xiao Li, a freight train driver is reunited with his long-lost friend from class Song Qian at a class reunion. While they are interacting as they talk, they reminisce about their time at school together.

The film starts with the aftermath of a quake that occurred twelve years ago. It tells the tale of an accident that resulted from the game of hide-and seek, in the process of revealing the truth that is buried and telling a story about redemption and growth.
